I drink a lot of water and always try to stay hydrated.
When I’m on that field, I give it everything I have, and when I come off, I’m a mom. As tired and exhausting as it is, it’s about coming back, even after double days, and still being able to enjoy the kids.
I try to be realistic, listen to my body and know when to slow down.
While traveling, I love granola bars, trail mix nuts, dry cereal and fruit for on-the-go snacks. I also try and start the day with a high fiber and protein meal, such as whole-grain toast with peanut butter.
I have my good and bad days, but when it’s tough I just push through it.
I never want to let my teammates or coaches down, so I always fight through the days when I am exhausted or experiencing discomfort with injuries and headaches.
